Clockwork Pig w/ Fiddle
WIND - UP PIG PLAYING FIDDLE. Schuco 980/2 fiddle-playing pig. Pale pink felt body and head. Pig has tongue sticking out and rosy cheeks. He is wearing a blue cap w/ a blue sailor’s shirt and is carrying a tinplate violin that is brown in color. Keyhole in back for wind-up key. When key is wound he moves the bow back and forth across the fiddle. Part of a Walt Disney Three Little Pigs set. Manufactured by Schuco. Made in Germany, c. 1934.
Based on Disney’s 1933 Silly Symphony animated short film “Three Little Pigs”. In 1934, Schuco struck a licensing deal with Disney, which allowed them to design toys in the likeness of the characters in the film.

Some visible wear and age. Felt is slightly faded in some spots. Felt along seem of face is separating and end of nose is missing. Hat is staring to come loose. Overall very good condition considering age. still works when wound.
