Cities Service Station w/ Car
SERVICE STATION w/ CAR. Tin lithograhed service station w/ red tin car . Service station has grey tin base, made to look like cement w/ ramp for car to sit. Rectangular tin store extends from base. Store is mainly white in color w/ lithographed windows, doors and an opened garage. “CITIES SERVICE” is in green text on sign on roof of store. Store lifts on hinge to reveal battery pack for D batteries. To the side of the store there is a small white gas pump w/ metal bar extending from it. The gas pump contains the motor and the metal bar attaches to the car to activate the mechanism inside. Car is red in color w/ chrome accents and black plastic wheels. When car is attached to bar and toy is turned on, bar spins rapidly and propels car forward. Comes w/ box lid only. Manufactured by Linemar. made in Japan, c. 1950.

Condition Notes
Toy is in working order. See video. The motor inside the gas pump may need to be wiggled from time to time if a component loses connection with the circuit. Takes two D batteries to power the motor.
Scratches and surface wear in the lithography. Large scratch in litho on base in front of gas pump. Comes w/ partial box, lid only. Some tears and separation of the seams on the box.
