Circus Train Windup toy

CIRCUS TRAIN WIND-UP TOY. Tin lithographed circus parade. Toy consists of four small tin toys connected by metal bar. In front of parade is elephant. Elephant is grey in colour w/ decorative shawl and hat. Wind-up key is in left side of elephant. Behind elephant is clown balancing on ball. Ball is striped and clown is doing a handstand on it, w/ feet in the air. Clown has green hat, smiling white face, and red pants. Behind clown is clown inside wheel. Clown is doing a handstand inside large blue wheel. Attached to this clown is final toy. Final toy is another clown balancing on ball. Ball is striped and clown is doing a handstand on it, w/ feet in the air. Clown has red hat, smiling white face, and pink jumpsuit. All toys are on wheels. Clowns spin when parade is moved forward. Manufactured by Tokyo Plaything Shokai. Made in Japan, c. 1950.
